Hello Chefs,
Sample production is underway! DoFine has accepted all files after a few rounds of fixes, updates, and resizing - and now they've begun sample printing. This is very exciting as it means that we're well on our way and will only accelerate from here.

Two Many Trucks Alt Hangriest customer samples. These are a visual reminder for 4th & 1st player in a 5 or 6 chef race - as the hangriest customer strikes twice as often in larger games! Note the splotchiness from testing the print, they're running abrasion testing during this test phase to confirm that components will be durable as promised. Dang near scratched his shorts off so you won't be able to.
Translation update:
I'm working on French, German, and Spanish translations this fall. Working to get those out in digital format before fulfillment. Still on track.
Next steps:
- Digital print for color verification > mail to Gregory for approval
- Sample testing for final size, weight, and quality testing > one goes to Gregory, another goes to safety testing panel for approval
- Gregory will publish unboxing update
- Gregory will publish revised How To Play, First 3 Turns, and Pop Up How To Play videos to supplement the game manual

Timeline update:
No change as of today. I'm well within the timeline set on the Kickstarter page & reposted here. I am trying hard to accelerate timelines but can't make any promises yet.
Saving the best for last:
So... you know this is my first game and I wanted it to be special... so I went ahead and upgraded the playing cards to linen finish. It made the game fractionally more expensive for me (not you) but I think it's worth it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Lots of little updates as we build toward a BIG August!
✅ Manufacturing Progress
- I’ve officially paid the deposit with DoFine Games Co Ltd, and we’re in the final stages of file submission. Once files are uploaded, DoFine will need 2–3 weeks for quality checks before digital printing can begin.
- We’ll move quickly from digital to production printing, and yes, I’ll absolutely share a video unboxing of the first samples for all of us to enjoy!
🚚 Special Sauce Tier: Art Complete!

Mario just wrapped the art for the custom Special Sauce tier trucks! These digital files will be sent to backers over the next week as they’re polished and bundled for print.

🎴 Trick-Taking Game Update
I’ve been playtesting the new 3–5 player trick-taking game set in the Food Truck Race universe. It’s both competitive and cooperative, and a low-art print-and-play version is coming in August!

- Food Truck Race: Late Night Snacks

Pledge Manager is closing Saturday - now is your time!

The last day to make final updates to your order is Saturday July 5.
- After July 5, your rewards are locked and we will charge cards for add-on item purchases, pledge upgrades, and pre-orders.
- You can update your shipping address up until we lock addresses for shipping (the month before fulfillment).

Update eight, BackerKit Pledge Manager (no rhyme, just good news)

BackerKit Pledge Manager is opening Monday!
You’ll soon receive an email with a special link to your BackerKit survey. Please respond as quickly as possible so we can finalize your rewards.
You don’t need a BackerKit account—just click the link in your email to answer a few questions about your reward preferences, shipping details, and any add-ons. You don’t have access to the link just yet, but it’ll be in your inbox soon!
You’ll be able to update your responses anytime before surveys close and we lock final counts.
To check your info later, return via the link in your email or click "Lost your survey?" on our project page:
Smoke Test
On Monday morning (June 23rd), we’ll send a test survey to 5% of backers to ensure everything works. If all goes well, the full survey will follow 24 hours later (June 24th).
Troubleshooting Emails
- If you used Facebook to log in to Kickstarter, the survey will go to your Facebook-associated email.

Update six: I (secretly) love mozzarella sticks!

Hello Chefs, 👨🍳
Kickstarter just confirmed that all payments have been processed—we’ve got the green light to export data to BackerKit Pledge Manager! ✅
Over the next two weeks, we’ll start opening the pledge manager in phases, beginning with a smoke test (a limited release to 5% of backers to make sure nothing’s on fire 🔥—just figuratively, of course).
Once the smoke test clears, we’ll open the gates to everyone. Below are a few quick notes for specific groups:
